Declan Fanning began commercial construction work in 2004, following on from a part time landscaping role. Working as a builders labourer, he worked on many large scale projects all over Melbourne.

Roles such as electrical spotting, first aid and night shift led him into a safety officer position and an interest in O.H.S. After 11+years he recommenced study at a Private University in Melbourne, Australia called Computer Power Institute.

After earning his Diploma in I.T in 2016, and several CompTia+ accreditations, Declan moved to Japan to live for five years with his family. He took on the role as Co-Director of Gerald Fanning Consulting Services in 2016.

In Japan, he studied Japanese and taught English, and gained experience in developing websites for foreign companies. He also taught English at a major Private High School full time in 2020.

A major implementation from an I.T perspective was the Decidim Software Open Source package for a company in 2022 for a large establishment.
In early 2023, Declan received his Cert 4 in Occupational Health and Safety.
This achieves a total workplace approach for GFCS in that OHS is now the centre of Human Resource management and as such the Company can provide accredited advice and guidance.

The Company has always focused on a Risk Aversion focus in all aspects of Human Resource management.

Declan’s IT skills, Cert 4 and other skills gained in workplace activity will assist any entity seeking advice and assistance.
